Choreography

Routines for competition, stage and events — built to a specific brief, a specific song and a specific deadline.

How a routine gets built

Brief. What is it for, who is dancing it, what level are they, and when do they have to perform it. A competition routine and a wedding first dance are not the same problem.

Music. I edit the track myself. Where the cuts fall determines what the routine can do, so this happens before any choreography.

Staging. Blocking, entrances, the shape the routine draws on the floor. Judges and audiences read this before they read footwork.

Rehearsals. Sectioned, then run, then cleaned. I stay through the final run-through — a routine that has never been run at full speed is not finished.

Who I work with

Competing couples, dance schools preparing a group piece, and event producers who need something staged for a specific night.

Lead time: a competition routine needs at least [ADD WEEKS] weeks.
